September 18, 2017 – PLANO, TX — Grab a teddy bear and join hundreds of North Texas motorcycle riders for a charity ride in Collin County benefiting abused and neglected children. Registration is now available for the 25th Annual Teddy Bear Ride which supports the work of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, an organization that collaborates with law enforcement and Child Protective Services to facilitate the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse.

Presented by Harley-Davidson Financial Services, the event begins at IKEA in Frisco and will end at Harley-Davidson Financial Services headquarters in Plano. Event highlights include bike games, vendors, and live music provided by Iron Fist of Duncan. Lone Star 92.5 will be on site with giveaways and riders also may enjoy food from PDQ! Each year, hundreds of bikers take to the streets of North Texas to highlight the plight of abused children and encourage others to join the fight against child abuse. Participants adorn their bikes with plush new teddy bears which eventually make their way into the arms of waiting children who come to the CACCC for help following a disclosure of abuse.

“This year marks the 25th Anniversary of our iconic Teddy Bear Ride – the longest standing fundraiser benefitting Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, and we couldn’t be more excited. We are so grateful to the hundreds of participants who ride for a cause bigger than all of us and gather teddy bears that provide comfort to children in crisis for an entire year. Their passion inspires each of us and is critical to our ability to achieve our mission and meet the needs of the ever-growing number of children needing our services”, says CACCC CEO, Lynne McLean.
