How long does it take to complete my background check?
We have the software to complete it in just a few minutes!
-
What is the volunteer orientation?
Volunteer orientations are held once a month in the evening (usually 5-8 p.m). These orientations include videos, child care training and an extensive tour of the Center. We do not have orientations in November or December because of the holidays.
-
Do I have to attend orientation in order to start volunteering?
Yes, there are no exceptions and no one is allowed to pick up a volunteer shift unless they have completed the training. Following a 30-minute personal interview, you are given orientation information.
-
What if I want to commit to ONE day during ONE specific time?
That is perfectly fine! If you know you can volunteer one day a week for two hours, let us know and we will set you up with projects and a schedule.
-
I have a history of abuse. Is that a problem?
Not at all. If you have dealt with abuse, we welcome your support in our fight against child neglect and abuse.
